From September Stress to Exam Success:

The Strong Start Challenge for GCSE Parents

Worried about your teen and their GCSEs?

They're starting Year 10 or Year 11 and you're not sure how to support them.

You're worried that they won't do enough revision and won't get the grades they need.

You're not sure if they'll take it seriously enough or leave it all too late.

Or that they'll do too much and get burnt out.

Their School hasn't really told you what to do to support them through the GCSEs.

And when you try to talk to your teen about it you don't get much back, or they say they don't need you.

You feel pushed out and like you're just leaving them to do it alone.

Or you're getting them tutors because it's the only way you know how to help.

You don't want to wait until mock results come in and then have to try and solve the problem with just a few months to go.

But you don't know what to do instead.

That's what this is for.

A FREE 4-day challenge for parents to give you the tools and strategies you need to support your teen in building a solid foundation for their GCSEs.

So you don't look back and wish you'd started sooner.

So you know exactly what to do this term to lead them to GCSE success.

So it doesn't all build up to panic in April.

Starts Tuesday 15th September

What is a Strong Start Challenge?

I'll share with you the really simple steps that you can take to support your teen through their GCSEs from the start of the School year (no waiting until disappointing or confusing mock results come in to get started).

Join me live each day for an action packed 20- 30 minute session (replay available) to discover a practical strategy that you can use immediately, to start seeing real changes in your teen's confidence.

You'll also receive an optional short daily challenge task to encourage you to give these tried and tested strategies a go- with everyone who completes them being put into a prize draw. (And who doesn't love a prize?!)

At the end of our 3 challenge days you'll then join me for my 60-90 minute workshop, where we'll put everything together from the week and more, to make sure you leave confident that you know precisely how to support your teen in the first term and beyond. (Plus a fantastic free gift for joining me across the week!).

By joining me you can make sure there is no more wasted time, no more nagging, no more giving up- instead the confidence that they can do it and that you can support them to achieve the exam success they deserve.

What do parents say?

I've done your 4 success webinars this weekend and found them really helpful- they are very well structured, clear and your confidence has given me some reassurance. I feel much better equipped to help.

A -Year 11 Parent

It was a great week full of fresh and helpful ideas- thank you

B -Year 10 Parent

All three sessions were very informative and also inspiring parents to help their teen's GCSEs. You really gave a detailed explanation of different ways of learning and revision to the parents.

M- Year 11 Parent

Why is this so important?

I know you're a busy parent, and you might be thinking that your teen seems to be doing ok and that they don't need you to intervene. You might think School has it covered and they'll naturally improve over the next few months.

And they might!

But they might not.

From the outside, it can look like they’re doing the right things:

  • Sitting at a desk.

  • Reading a revision guide.

  • Watching videos.

  • Highlighting notes.

  • Not getting any detentions

  • Doing their homework

But underneath that, there’s often huge missing steps that can go unnoticed until the mocks, or worst- case scenario, until the real exams.

It looks like everything is as it should be. But grades stay where they are.

In my experience, this is when parents start to panic. Mock exam results come in and there’s still no improvement, so they turn the pressure up.

This can lead to more arguments, more panic and usually- less success.

The problem is most GCSE students and parents have never actually been shown what they're supposed to do or how to do it.

And when you dont' get it right from the start, not only does it become much harder to fix later on, it leads to a lack of self belief and low confidence- impacting your teen far beyond just their GCSE grades.

That's why starting in September is so important.

So don't delay getting the right foundations in place, sign up below and join me inside the challenge.

Who is running the challenge?

Hazel is an Academic Mentor, Teacher and Tutor specialising in supporting parents and teens navigating the GCSEs.

She takes parents from overwhelmed to calm and confident by showing them how to support their teen with revision, in class learning, exam preparation and everything in between- without the conflict.

Hazel uses her 12 years of teaching experience to show parents and teens where they are going wrong and how to fix it- so your teen can spend less time revising AND get better outcomes for ALL of their exam subjects, without anyone reaching breaking point.

She draws on her own experiences achieving top GCSE and A Level grades, as well as a First Class Biology degree, to show students how to learn effectively, stay motivated and become more confident in their abilities.

FAQs

I don't have enough time to attend all of the sessions, what should I do?

I know you're a really busy parent and your time is precious. That's why I've kept each challenge day as short as possible and why you'll receive recordings to each session so you can watch it at a time that suits you. Although it's best to attend all sessions if you can, each session will still make sense without having attended the previous ones, so you can just join the ones you're able to. If your time is really tight I'd recommend focusing on the main workshop session, as this is the session with the most informaton, tools and strategies you can start using straight away.

Is this suitable for home educated students?

This session will be aimed at parents of students who are attending UK Schools. However there will be many aspects of the challenge week that you may still find useful if your child is home educated.

What year group is this suitable for?

This session is suitable for parents of any students in Y9-13 who have exams or assessments this year, though it is designed specifically for parents of GCSE students.

Who is the Strong Start Challenge for?

This challenge is designed for parents/carers to give them practical strategies to support their teen with their revision. You are very welcome to bring your teen along to the online sessions.

What if I can't make it live?

Every session will be recorded and the recording sent to you within 12 hours (often within 2 hours!)

How long are the recordings available for?

Each recording is available for 5 days, you can upgrade to receive lifetime access to all four recordings on the next page for just £7 (plus several other free extras included!)
